Chuck has two exciting events coming up in Windsor, Ontario, his hometown. On Saturday August 23rd Chuck will be at the Green Bean Cafe on Ouellette Ave. at 8:00 pm, and on Sunday August 24th at 2:00pm he’ll be at the Bookroom on Wyandotte St. West. Both events will include book talks on As a Thief in the Night, readings, and signings. Hope to see you out!

Thanks to everyone who came out to A Different Drummer Books yesterday. It’s great to see that there are still thriving independent stores out there. A big shout out to Ian and the rest of the Drummer staff. For anyone who missed the event there are still autographed copies of As a Thief in the Night available for sale in the store.

A Different Drummer is one of the finest independent bookstores in Ontario and Chuck and Open Books are proud to be working in partnership with them. The Niagara Literary Arts Festival will be holding events all through the month of June. Chuck will be holding two readings and running a Philosopher’s Cafe session on the Life and Work of Friedrich Nietzsche. You can find out more about the festival here. Dates and places are as follows:

All of the art work below was inspired by As a Thief in the Night and was donated by local artists Sharon Angeles, Bobbie Dorka of Cocktails and Canvases, Lesley Goodyear, Tom Kirby, and Trevor Zepotoczny for a charity raffle that was held at the launch party to benefit One Voice One Team.

Pieces inspired by As a Thief in the Night will be among prizes donated by local businesses and organizations.
